Cambodian Human Rights Committee and Spokesperson of the Royal Government of Cambodia
This week, CHRAC has been engaging in dialogue with the Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC) and the Spokesperson of the Royal Government of Cambodia. In light of the ongoing Thai-Cambodian border conflict, CHRAC aims to establish ongoing, constructive relationships between civil society organisations (CSOs) and state institutions regarding human rights issues. CHRAC values the opportunity to ensure that voices and concerns of civil society are heard and respected.
On 12 January 2026, CHRAC, together with other CSOs including NGO Forum Cambodia, ADHOC, and CCHR, participated in a meeting with the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, furthering dialogue between civil society and CHRC.
On 14 January 2026, CHRAC also met with the Spokesperson of the Royal Government of Cambodia, alongside API, CPDD, NGOF, CCIM, CCYMCR and CHF, as part of its ongoing efforts to raise human rights concerns.
CHRAC remains committed to continued dialogue with all relevant actors in order to independently uphold human rights of the people of Cambodia.

CHRAC welcomes two interns in 2026
- Mr Isaac Sibley (centre), from the Australian National University, now working with CHRAC as International Human Rights and Legal Officer
- Ms Lotta Bader (first from left), from the University of Amsterdam, now working with CHRAC as International Human Rights Officer
Both of them are assisting CHRAC to better good governance, organizational promotion and advancing efforts for human rights. CHRAC agreed with the ANU to host its students as interns once a year. This is the second year that we host.

Reach out to us so that we may work together to promote principles of humanity and sustainable development for Cambodia through human rights, multiparty democracy and pluralism.
